Safety Instructions
- Operators must be trained and qualified.
- A forklift is not designed for lifting personnel without a specified workbasket. Riding on the forks is highly dangerous.
- Bring unit to a complete stop before reversing direction. Buckle up for safety.
- It is unlawful to operate the machine within 10 feet of high voltage wires up to 50,000 volts as well as unsafe.
- Do not tilt past vertical postion when forks are elevated.
- Drive carefully and observe all safe driving rules.
- Do not stop abruptly; you may spill the load or tip the truck.
- Use outriggers when so equipped.
- Do not leave the engine running when making adjustments or repairs unless specifically recommended.
- Check fluid levels daily. Do not add oil on when the machine is running.
- Use caution when handling any type of fuel.
- Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from power driven parts. Do not walk or stand under forks.
- Make sure your work area is clear of obstructions.
- Stunt driving and horseplay is not a good idea.
- Set emergency brake when not in motion.
- Know the capacity of the truck and do not exceed.
- While travelling with a load, keep the load as low to the ground as possible.
- Do not drive onto elevators without verifying that the elevator capacity id capable of carrying it and your load
- Use common sense when operating any piece of equipment. Avoid unsafe practices and injury causing accidents
